Beaverton holds Prom at the Portland Art Museum

April 27th was Prom Night. This year’s Prom was for both juniors and seniors, but not underclassmen. Prom was located at the Portland Art Museum. There was some construction nearby, which included a huge crane, but Prom went on. Students lined up to wait for their turn to get into Prom or buy tickets at the door.

After checking in, students made their way to the third floor’s ballroom where Prom was held. The ballroom had blue and red lighting with a DJ on stage. The DJ played “Feel This Moment” by Pitbull; “ Starships” by Nicki Minaj; “Timber” by Pitbull; “ We Found Love” by Rihanna; “Hotel Room Service” by Pitbull; and “Beauty And A Beat” by Justin Bieber and Nicki Minaj. Everyone at Prom had too much fun.

On the dance floor, everyone was dancing to the music. A  group of people formed a conga line, and other people formed dance circles where people went to the middle to dance, break dance, and even do backflips. Students were also doing the human-wheel-barrow and giving each other piggyback rides.

Prom also had snacks for everyone which included strawberry cream puffs and monster cookies with water or lemonade to drink. The upperclassmen had so much fun on their Prom night. This was the seniors’ final Prom, but the juniors get to go to Prom again in 2025.

The best part of Prom was when everyone was jumping together to the music, as well as seeing everyone dressed nicely and having so much fun.
