Beaverton girls’ bathrooms reviewed
When you think of the ideal school bathroom, what comes to mind? A clean bathroom, with functioning stalls and sinks and no holes in the ceilings? You might also expect them to hold enough pads and tampons that everyone can access. The girls’ bathrooms at Beaverton are lacking in all of the previous expectations.
Math Hall Bathroom: 1/5. This bathroom looks pretty normal. But the instant you step into it from the hallway, which is at an acceptable 77° F (25° C) you get blasted with a wave of heat and humidity at 87.8° F (31° C). Allegedly, it's so warm because of the room's location near a boiler, and its temperature has been elevated for decades. Not only the warmth, but the smell accompanying it makes you want to never use this bathroom again.
This survey of the girls’ bathrooms has shown that the conditions are substandard. If you considered the bathrooms clean before, perhaps this has shown just how unhygienic they are.
